New Staff Members

Due to changes in Circumstances we have moved a couple of our staff around.

Greg Hosker previously worked at St Matthews Link Club, Stretton. He has swapped with Pauline Burke to work with the team at St Wilfrids Link Club and will be a great asset to the club with his sports skills and knowledge.

A brand new member has also be taken on. She will be starting on Monday 31st October 2011 and is Rebecca a NVQ Level 2 qualified and experienced playworker who i am sure will fit in well to our team.

Theft at the club

Unfortunately, this week the Wii, games and controllers have been stolen from the Link Club building. If anyone who was in on Thursday 30th June saw anything then please contact Davina on 07813803392.

We have spoken to the police and they are investigating this and questioning a couple of people. We aim to try to get a new week sometime in the future but hope you can patient with us until then.

New Mobile Building

Just a quick note to let all parents know that we have moved into our own Mobile building on the playground of St Wilfrids School.

The children have some really nice areas now such as a Wii area, couch, quiet room and lots of new free play equipment which should keep them entertained for hours along side our planned activities.

On days when we have more than 25 children we will be taking the older children (years 5 & 6) into the school with games of there choice for an hour or so for some one on one time with a member of staff. We think this will be great for the older children so that they get one on one attention with a member of staff. However, this will be on a rare occasion.

We have already had some great feedback from both children and parents, lets hope this continues

I am very excited to announce the beginnings of a new era for JK Link Clubs, we have created our very own page on facebook that you can join and make comments, suggest and have a general natter with parents/staff from your school and the surrounding schools.

Created for Parents and Carers of children who come to our Link Clubs, Holiday clubs or who just want to keep in touch with what is happening at the Clubs and in Warrington. Whether you want to make friends with other parents or any give feedback to us, this networking site is a great start to fantastic relationships.

The possibilities are endless at the moment as we may be able to book our places on the site and you will be able to keep in touch with events and others from your children’s schools and clubs.
